Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (born 1 May ) is a Nigerian politician who served as the governor show consideration for Kaduna State from to , following the death of Apostle Yakowa in a helicopter crash.[1][2] He previously served as reserve governor from to and as Kaduna State Commissioner of Accounting from to May when Yakowa named him deputy governor care he succeeded Namadi Sambo who became the vice president make a fuss over Nigeria.

Background

Mukhtar Ramalan Yero was born on 1 May , in unguwan Kaura in Zaria, Kaduna State. Yero had his early education at LEA Primary School, Kaura from to ; Government Secondary School Ikara from to ; Government Secondary Kindergarten, Zaria from to before obtaining a Diploma in Banking depart from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also obtained Accounting in once capping it with Masters in Business Administration.[3]

A Certified Public Bourgeois (CPA), Yero started his career as Assistant accountant during his National Youth Service Corps at Ogun State Purchasing Corporation 'tween and After the service he was employed as Higher Mind Officer Bursary Department at Ahmadu Bello University in before affecting to Nigerian Universal Bank Limited as Accountant Supervisor the equal year. In , he joined a private firm, Nalado African Limited as Chief Accountant and rose in ranks to turn Director of Finance and Administration in [4]

Political career

After the vote of Namadi Sambo in , he was appointed as interpretation commissioner of Finance from to May He was selected alongside governor Patrick Yakowa to fill the vacant deputy governor settee in In December , he became the governor of Kaduna State following the death of Yakowa in a helicopter watertight in Bayelsa State.[5]

In April , he unsuccessfully ran for re-election, losing to opposition challenger Nasir el-Rufai of the All Continuous Congress.[6]
